Marine Harvest Scotland believes in helping to build strong communities where our staff live and work. We are pleased to support a variety of community organizations including service groups, sports teams, social programs, schools, and salmon conservation programs.

Our corporate giving policy reflects Marine Harvest’s values of PassionChangeTrust and Share. We will uphold our values by donating to applicants who subscribe to these values and provide a benefit to our communities.

We want to support the fundraising efforts of local groups, service clubs and charities through cash or in-kind donations that may include fresh Atlantic salmon, used equipment, volunteering and/or participation in events by employees and their families.

Sorry, but we don’t sponsor individuals. We won’t fund travel or hotel costs, or operating costs that without would render your organization unsustainable. One more thing we won’t do is provide input or direction to an organization or event that has received our support.

We welcome requests that direct our community investment to conservation initiatives, activities for children and youth, sports and wellness, and poverty relief in the communities where Marine Harvest operates.

We will review submissions at or about the 15th of each month, so requests must be provided well in advance. Our minimum lead time is one month for in-kind donations (salmon, equipment etc), and three months for cash funding – allowing Marine Harvest time to leverage and communicate the investment to our employees and the community. If you request a major donation (>£1000) and it’s successful, it may be deferred to the next calendar year based on budget restrictions.

You may apply for a cash or in-kind donation by emailing following information to MHScotlandDonations@marineharvest.com:

  1. Event title or group name
  2. Date and duration of event or activity
  3. Previous Marine Harvest donations received
  4. Primary contact and payment details
  5. Your donation request
  6. If successful, what public relations would be generated?
  7. Any other helpful information

Requests for support are considered and prioritized based on the following criteria:

  1. Relevant to Marine Harvest values
  2. Takes place in an area where Marine Harvest Scotland operates
  3. Involves a staff member

Marine Harvest receives more requests each year than it is possible to approve. If you do not hear back from us within 30 days, please consider your application declined for the calendar year.
